GENERAL RENTAL CONDITIONS
These general rental conditions set out how Jewel House Srl hires its jewellery. Jewel House Srl is committed to ensure that all rental requests are processed properly and professionally. Jewel House Srl may change its policy from time to time by updating this page. You should periodically check this page to ensure that you are happy with any changes.
RENTAL PERIODS AND PROCEDURES
The minimum length of hire period is 1 week.
You can choose any piece of jewellery you require (or indeed a combination of multiple jewels).
Charges are not shown on the website. Once received your online order a Jewel House representative will get back to you with an estimate of the total hiring cost, an insurance certificate request and a pro-forma invoice to confirm all payment details including the requested deposit.This estimate needs to be signed by the person in charge for the hiring and sent back to Jewel House via email.Once receive the signed estimate Jewel House will start the rental process.You will be then provided with:1) A contract that will need to be signed and sent back to us via email. Jewel House will also need the original contract, which needs to be signed and posted to our showroom address.2) A list of each rented item, including details and insurance value.3) An invoice of the total rental cost.4) A proforma deposit invoice covering the 20% of the total value of the rented jewellery is required.
The deposit payment – as well as the full payment – must be made by wire transfer to Jewel House Srl bank account.
The deposit is refunded once the rented jewellery will be returned to our showroom and checked by our staff.
INSURANCE CERTIFICATE
Jewel House Srl requests an insurance certificate, covering the total value of the selected jewellery, to be stipulated by your Company before the start of the hiring period. The insurance must also cover the full rental period, including shipping days.
INVOICING AND FINAL SHIPPING DISPATCH
Once we receive the signed contract, the deposit payment, the full payment, and the insurance certificate, Jewel House Srl will send the final invoice and the jewellery will be dispatched.All the items will be delivered in a metal box with our Jewel House logo, inside a cartoon box, in order to be not damaged.Inside the metal box you will find a list of the jewellery including pictures and insurance value of each item for your reference.Please send back the items in the original package.
DELAYED RETURN AND EXTENSION OF HIRE
If you think your return will be delayed or should you need to extend your hire period, please contact us as soon as possible. If the jewellery has not been booked, we will be happy to extend your booking. The additional charge will be made according to the balance of the outstanding hire period. For example, if you originally hired for a week and wish to extend for another week, you will be charged the 5% of the total cost of the invoice. Each further week will be charged the 5% on top of the total rental cost.
EARLY RETURNS
You are more than welcome to return the rented items earlier than the selected period. Just contact us. Understandably, as the items were booked out, we can discuss a refund deal.
DAMAGE AND LOSS
In case of partial or total damage and/or loss of the rented jewellery, upon our written request, your company will have to indemnify Jewel House Srl for any loss or damage with each item’s full value as specified in the rented items list.Once the jewellery is returned, we will check the items, if possible with your person in charge, and write down a report of all damages and/or missing items.Any additional payment due to loss and damage, must be paid by you or your insurance Company within 15 (fifteen) days.
COPYRIGHT
All brand names, product design, product names and titles used by Jewel House Srl outside or inside the website are intellectual property of Jewel House Srl.You are not allowed to use or reproduce any such trademarks or trade names as this may entail an infringement of the holders’ rights.All design, texts, documents, movies, music and/or other services and the selection and arrangement thereof, and all software compilations, underlying source code, software (including applets) and all other material on this website are the copyright of Jewel House Srl.You are not allowed to make any other use of the information and materials on or off this website, including reproduction for purposes other than those noted above, modification, distribution, or republication. Should you wish to use materials or information from this website, you need to obtain Jewel House Srl prior written consent.
GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
Access and use of the Website shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with Italian law. Any dispute that may arise between Jewel House Srl and the potential or actual clients shall be resolved, the parties waiving their own jurisdiction, by the Courts and Tribunals of the city of Rome (Italy).
